Four simple tasks to complete before September
The summer break is the perfect opportunity to carry out a few quick housekeeping tasks that will help your school get the most from ReachMoreParents when the new academic year begins.
Most of these only take a few minutes, but they can improve the experience for parents and staff, help keep your data accurate, and avoid unnecessary issues in September when everyone is busy.
1. Enrol your new admissions
Enrolling new parents before September allows families to start receiving communications ahead of the new school year.
This helps build engagement early, but perhaps more importantly, reduces the rush to enrol when term starts and things are busy.

2. Archive last year's Newsfeed posts
As pupils move into their new year groups, incoming parents may otherwise see posts that relate to previous cohorts.
Archiving older Newsfeed posts gives everyone a fresh start while ensuring parents only see content that's relevant to their child's new academic year.

3. Remove any pinned Newsfeed posts
Pinned posts are designed to highlight important information for a period of time, but it's easy to forget they're there.
Before the new term begins, take a moment to review and remove any outdated pinned posts so parents immediately see your most current announcements when they log in.

4. Check your Academic Year dates
This is one of the most important jobs to complete before September.
If your Academic Year dates haven't been configured correctly, attendance and messaging reports may not function as expected. Spending a few minutes checking these settings now can help prevent reporting issues later.
