Release notes

February 26 2026

This update includes improvements to PEMS and Message Reminders.

PEMS

We have improved user search in Parent Event Management so student aliases now appear in the search results. This makes it easier for administrators to identify the correct student when booking appointments.

Administration

Message Reminders, also known as auto-chase, have now been enabled as the default setting for all schools.

This means schools can use automatic reminders to follow up with parents and carers who have not yet read or responded to certain messages.

MIS (writeback)

We have updated absence writeback for iSAMS so future-dated absences are held until the relevant date. If an absence spans future dates, the writeback will be processed when each absence date is reached.

Bug fixes

Calendar

  • We have resolved an issue affecting some recurring calendar events where the original event was created in UTC, but one or more occurrences took place during British Summer Time. Previously, those BST occurrences could shift by one hour, for example from 09:00 to 10:00. The event will now keep the time originally entered by the user. For existing recurring events affected by this issue, please edit the event, apply the change to all occurrences, and save. This will update the date and time settings across the full series.
  • We have fixed an issue with the Website Calendar plugin where multi-day events could display with the final day cut short. Multi-day calendar events now show the correct date range.

PEMS

  • We have fixed an issue in Parent Event Management where teacher quiet time could not always be added immediately before or after an existing parent/carer appointment. Quiet time can now be added correctly around booked appointments.

  • We have improved the matching process for Arbor schools using ParentPay. This helps prevent mismatches where ParentPay includes an additional prefix on some IDs, allowing users to be matched correctly and payments to be processed in the portal and app.

Payments

  • We have improved the matching process for Arbor schools using ParentPay. This helps prevent mismatches where ParentPay includes an additional prefix on some IDs, allowing users to be matched correctly and payments to be processed in the portal and app.

Absence Reporting

  • We have improved absence reporting to prevent duplicate absence requests being created while attendance information is syncing. Once an absence has been submitted to the MIS and processed, matching absence reports are now locked to prevent duplicates.

Administration

  • We have fixed an issue where role message permissions were not always copied from the Trust when a new school was created. New schools will now inherit the correct role message permissions from the Trust when saved.
