About our Customer
Highfields Primary School, located near the centre of Leicester, is an Outstanding-rated institution with a diverse student body of approximately 370 pupils and 55 staff members. The Challenge
Highfields Primary School, located near the centre of Leicester, is home to approximately 370 pupils and 55 staff members. With 90% of its families being ESL (English as a Second Language), the school struggled to engage parents through traditional communication methods like emails and texts.
"Before ReachMoreParents, we primarily used emails and texts to reach parents. We often found that these methods of communication didn’t sufficiently ‘reach’ our diverse parent base at all." says Dave Nimmo, Business Manager at Highfields Primary School.
These methods often failed to reach the diverse parent base effectively, creating a significant language barrier that hindered parental involvement. The school needed a more inclusive and visually engaging communication system to bridge this gap.
Not only is it arduous and time-consuming to type out and send multiple emails, but the lack of visual imagery made it difficult to communicate clearly with ESL speakers. As a parent myself, I know how frustrating it can be when effective two-way dialogue fails – it certainly doesn’t make you feel engaged and inspired!”
The Solution
Seeking a solution to their communication challenges, Highfields Primary School turned to Weduc's ReachMoreParents platform. The decision was driven by the platform's ability to offer visual and multilingual content, making it accessible via smartphone apps and other platforms.
The school quickly realised the potential of ReachMoreParents and implemented it to enhance school-parent communication. The platform's intuitive design and multilingual support allowed parents to access school updates easily, engage in two-way communication, and feel more connected to their children's education.
The Results
The implementation of ReachMoreParents has revolutionised parental engagement at Highfields Primary School. The platform achieved a 100% teacher uptake, ensuring that all staff members were actively utilising the software.

The school witnessed a significant increase in parental engagement, as parents found it easier to access school updates and communicate with teachers.
