Google Translate Integration

At Weduc, we understand the importance of clear and effective communication between educators and parents, regardless of language barriers. Our Google Translate integration lets parents translate school content into their own language.

Seamless integration means...

Language is no longer a barrier

Parental involvement is an important part of a child’s learning and academic success but EAL families can experience language and communication barriers when engaging with schools.

And for schools, accommodating multiple languages is particularly difficult.

To help solve this, we’ve integrated Google Translate into our parent app so EAL families can now easily keep connected and help with their child's education.

How does it work?

Very simply. There’s nothing that school staff need to do, parents set their chosen language within their App and when school messages are sent, they are automatically translated.

The following content can be translated:

  • In-app messages
  • Notices
  • Newsfeed posts
  • Newsfeed comments

The Portal for schools also has translations for newsfeed posts and comments.

What languages are available?

101 languages are supported, so whether parents speak Spanish, French, Mandarin or Punjabi they’ll be able to understand what’s being sent from their school.

Easy translations in just a few clicks

Changing languages in the app for parents is easy and requires no extra effort from school staff!

Schools can post notices and newsfeed updates in English, and if parents need to see it in another language they simply hit the translate icon and the app instantly translates for them.

This integration ensures that parents can easily understand and engage with important messages, and newsfeed posts from school.
